WHO THRIVES AT ITA

Families Seeking Meaningful Torah-Centered Education

International Torah Academy is built for families seeking serious growth in both limudei kodesh and general studies within a Torah-centered environment.

Our program emphasizes:

  • strong middot,

  • intellectual development,

  • responsibility,

  • independent thinking,

  • Torah values,

  • and sincere engagement in learning.

Families Who View Education as a Partnership

At International Torah Academy, we believe that authentic khinukh is built through partnership between the school and the family. While teachers provide instruction, structure, guidance, and support, the foundation of a student’s motivation, discipline, and seriousness toward learning is formed primarily within the home.

Our program is designed for families who view education as an active process requiring communication, accountability, and involvement. ITA is not intended to function as a passive online platform where students are left entirely on their own without parental oversight or encouragement.

Especially in an online and homeschool-supported environment, family participation remains essential to student success.

Students Who Are Willing to Participate and Grow

Students who thrive at ITA are not expected to be perfect. They are, however, expected to demonstrate sincerity, effort, and willingness to grow.

Successful students:

  • participate in class instruction,

  • complete assignments consistently,

  • communicate respectfully,

  • develop akhrayut (responsibility),

  • and demonstrate hasmadah (consistency and diligence) in their studies.

Learning requires active engagement. Students who consistently ignore assignments, refuse participation, or disengage from instruction place themselves outside the educational process itself.

Our goal is not merely academic performance, but the development of intellectual maturity, self-discipline, and meaningful personal growth.

Families That Value and Cultivate Kavod Ha’Melamed and Derech Eretz

ITA places significant importance on kavod ha’melamed — honoring and respecting teachers — as well as derekh eretz within the learning environment.

Students are expected to:

  • participate respectfully,

  • communicate appropriately,

  • listen during instruction,

  • and take their studies seriously.

These values are strengthened first and foremost within the family environment. A school can reinforce respect and discipline, but it cannot fully replace the role of the home in cultivating proper attitudes toward learning and authority.

A healthy educational environment depends upon mutual respect between students, parents, and teachers.

Families Transitioning to Homeschooling

ITA understands that the transition from traditional schooling to homeschooling or online education can feel unfamiliar and, at times, difficult to navigate for families. Whether a family is seeking a temporary educational transition or embracing homeschooling as a long-term lifestyle and educational philosophy, our goal is to support families throughout that journey and build meaningful educational partnerships rooted in communication, guidance, and trust.

Families Seeking Academic Enrichment and Supplemental Learning

ITA welcomes homeschooling families seeking individual classes, enrichment opportunities, structured instruction, or additional academic support alongside their existing homeschool program.

Many families choose ITA in order to supplement subjects such as mathematics, sciences, languages, limudei kodesh, writing, or advanced coursework while continuing to maintain their own homeschooling philosophy and family educational structure.

Our flexible model allows families to combine independent homeschooling with live instruction, academic guidance, and a supportive Torah-centered learning environment.
