Meet the Director

Mrs. N. Esther Basha serves as the Director and lead teacher at International Torah Academy, where she combines academic rigor, Torah values, and visionary curriculum development to provide students in Kindergarten through 12th grade with a deeply rooted, spiritually enriching education.

​

She earned an MBA and a B.A. in Sociology and Management from Murray State University, completed a Graduate Summer Program at Stanford University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education at the American College of Education.

 

As an educator, she has studied Waldorf educational methodology and is the developer of the first fully integrated Torah-based K–12 curriculum inspired by Waldorf philosophy and aligned with Torah principles. Her approach combines beauty, rhythm, and spiritual intentionality with academic excellence, offering a uniquely holistic and Torah-true model of education.

A dedicated Torah-based linguistic researcher, she focuses on the sacred structure of Biblical Hebrew and its connections to other languages. She is a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian, with proficiency in German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Biblical Hebrew.

​

She holds a Diploma in Piano Performance from the Rimsky-Korsakov School of Music and has several years of experience teaching piano to children and young adults. She also served as the editor of Piano Performer Magazine, contributing to the classical music world through writing and editorial leadership.

 

She is the composer and author of “Learning Torah Through Songs,” a music-based curriculum for grades K–5 designed for Jewish schools and homeschoolers.

She has been studying Torah for over 15 years and lives a Torah-observant lifestyle, embracing tzniut, refined speech, and the development of Torah-based culture in both home and educational settings.

​

As a Torah-observant homeschool parent, she brings warmth, discipline, and empathy to her educational leadership. Her work at International Torah Academy reflects a deep commitment to Torah-centered learning, which also continues through her involvement in the founding of Florida Hebrew University, a Torah-based higher education initiative dedicated to scholarship and spiritual development.
