HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT TRANSFER POLICY
International Torah Academy (ITA) recognizes that students may earn high school credits through a variety of learning experiences, including other schools, homeschool instruction, and independent study.
To ensure academic integrity, all credits applied toward an ITA diploma must be formally evaluated and approved.

Grade-Level Transfer Cap
-
ITA accepts transfer students through 11th grade only.
-
Students may not transfer directly into 12th grade.

Transfer Credit Evaluation Fee
-
All transcript and credit transfer requests are subject to a $100 base evaluation fee, plus $25 per half-credit evaluated.
-
Fees are non-refundable and must be paid prior to review.

Transfer of Outside Coursework
-
Credits earned at another high school, college, or approved program may be transferred upon submission of an official transcript.
-
Only courses that meet ITA’s academic and Torah-integrated standards will be accepted.

Independent or Parent-Taught Coursework
-
Courses taught by parents, learned independently, or completed outside an accredited program may be considered for credit only after validation.
-
Validation may be achieved through:
-
Passing the ITA Subject Examination for the relevant course, or
-
Submitting an official standardized exam score (e.g., CLEP, AP) that meets ITA standards.
-
-
Documentation such as syllabi, reading lists, and samples of work may also be required.

CLEP Exams & Dual Enrollment
-
Credits earned through CLEP examinations or dual enrollment college courses may be applied toward ITA graduation requirements if the student achieves a passing score/grade and submits an official transcript or score report.
Retake Policy for Validation Exams
-
Students who do not pass a Subject Examination may retake it once only.
-
The full examination fee applies to re-takes.
-
After two unsuccessful attempts, the student must complete the course directly through ITA to earn credit.
Residency Requirement
-
ITA requires students to complete a portion of their credits directly through ITA in order to receive a diploma.
-
The exact number of required credits is determined on a case-by-case basis by ITA administration.
